Shift Production Supervisor, Filter Manufacturing (1st Shift)

How you will make an impact:

The Shift Production Supervisor, Filter Manufacturing supervises the assembly of Filter Module and Cartridge assembly, ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly, and helps increase the organization’s efficiencies. This role is an integral part of the organization’s growth and requires ensuring the team is adhering to production schedules, making sure production processes meet set deadlines, and reviewing the productivity of the team and equipment. The Shift Production Supervisor, Filter Manufacturing works collaboratively with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

  • Reviews Daily production schedule, communicating priorities to the production leads through use of computers/software which facilitates all phases of production activity including tracking of production order status, electronic batch record generation, lot control, inventory control, etc.
  • Interfaces with computers/software which facilitates all phases of production activity including tracking of production order status, electronic batch record generation, lot control, inventory control, etc. 
  • Reviews Labor Hour Trend against production output to confirm labor efficiency & utilization is in-line with the Filters factory KPIs. Flows this information and reviews with the team Leads for the efficiency & utilization by work cell.
  • Ensures Filters are assembled according to design specifications which will be communicated via engineering drawings and SOPs. Works with the Application Engineering team for improvements to existing and future drawings and SOPs.
  • Able to read & interpret SOPs to properly perform, explain & train necessary manufacturing operations to subordinate personnel. To include the train the trainer philosophy (See one, do one, teach one).
  • Oversees automatic machinery and notifies the Operations & Engineering Support of any irregularities. Confirms that team is staffing machinery for continuous run time throughout the shift and that equipment change over optimizes productivity with minimal down time.
  • Examines and tests filter products at various stages of production, according to SOPs, to detect nonstandard or defective assemblies.
  • Ensures equipment is being cleaned at appropriate intervals & stages of production.
  • Maintains meticulous records of production and defects, and participates in root cause corrective actions.
  • Visually inspects finished product for adherence to design specifications as well as packaging and labeling accuracy.
  • Assists with packaging/shipping of all finished product.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience and prior management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising or managing a manufacturing production line using KPIs related to efficiency, utilization & financial performance. 
  • Personal commitment to ensure the highest quality product possible is produced.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English is required. Documents include safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to record, report and analyze production data.
  • Computer skills are essential including MS Office and time and attendance software systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Spanish communication skills helpful but not required.
  • Proven track record utilizing analytical skills to make recommendations and impact change as needed to ensure production schedules and outputs are adhered to.

Work Environment

Single-Use Production is performed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment. Powder free gloves, face masks, hairnets, gowns and shoe covers must be worn. Shorts, loose or baggy clothing is not permitted. Makeup, hair styling products, soiled, fuzzy or frayed clothing must not be worn into the cleanroom. Because smokers continue to shed thousands of smoke particles even hours after smoking a cigarette and these particles will damage our products, only non-smokers are permitted to enter or work in the cleanroom.

US BASE PAY SCALE $28.97 - $37.32
