How you will make an impact:

At an advanced state the Senior Automation Product Controls Engineer will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to conceptualize, plan, design, prototype, test, document, and commercialize electrical and control systems integrated in products utilized in the development and manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, and personalized medicines and therapies. This position requires a proficiency in both electrical and software design as well as strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with other departments and end-users.

  • Perform such job duties as new product development, acting as a product subject matter expert and aiding in equipment implementation and support.
  • Work directly with end-users on configured and custom equipment projects. 
  • Design electrical schematics and control systems.
  • Develop PLC logic and HMI interfaces. 
  • Routinely bring small, mid-sized and large-scale projects to completion, within initial timeline estimates.
  • Assist team members in the development and application of their skillsets by acting as a mentor and assisting when guidance is required.

This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 to 8 years working experience in a similar position preferred. Applicable internships are acceptable.
  • Design experience with teams focused on integrated electromechanical projects is required while some level of mechanical, low voltage electrical, and regulatory conformance knowledge is beneficial.
  • PLC Programming experience is required.
  • HMI design and programming is required.
  • Experience with SCADA and/or historian systems such is preferred.
  • Proficient in 2D CAD and drafting software, AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
  • LabVIEW programming experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Single-Use Production is performed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment. Powder free gloves, face masks, hairnets, gowns and shoe covers must be worn. Shorts, loose or baggy clothing is not permitted. Makeup, hair styling products, soiled, fuzzy or frayed clothing must not be worn into the cleanroom. Because smokers continue to shed thousands of smoke particles even hours after smoking a cigarette and these particles will damage our products, only non-smokers are permitted to enter or work in the cleanroom.

US BASE PAY SCALE $115,000 - $150,200
