How you will make an impact:
The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and meeting regulatory compliance requirements. This role will have a direct impact on critical projects, including but not limited to our Scope 1-3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory calculations, sustainability assessments, customer questionnaires, annual sustainability report, and supporting Meissner’s decarbonization efforts. This role will be at the forefront of advancing Meissner’s sustainability program and will be instrumental in ensuring its continuity and success. The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will also have the opportunity to expand to cover strategic sustainability initiatives, as needed, but will begin with a strong focus on sustainability reporting.
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support the completion of sustainability assessments (EcoVadis, S&P Global, MSCI, etc.) and customer questionnaires.
- Support the completion of our annual sustainability report, including but not limited to data collection and analysis, stakeholder interviews, report drafting, reviewing, and editing.
- Analyze requirements from global sustainability frameworks and regulations into structured, digestible plans and deliverables.
- Manage our Sustainability Team’s inbox by responding to internal and external requests and completing any associated documents, inquiries, or questionnaires.
- Collaborate with our carbon accounting team to streamline our Scope 1-3 GHG reporting process and identify opportunities for methodology enhancements to better align data outputs with reporting needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sustainability reporting trends and evolving disclosure requirements (The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) , California SB 253 & 261, etc.).
- Research and analyze requirements for attaining relevant sustainability certifications (ISCC+, LEED, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Support the enhancement of Meissner’s supplier engagement program by developing supplier questionnaires and a Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Support third party engagement with other Meissner departments, suppliers, vendors, and customers, as needed.
- Additional ad hoc analyses, research, and data management as needed by Senior Leadership.
The skills and experience you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Data Management, Data Science, or related field.
- 1+ years of direct experience working on a global Sustainability/ESG Team supporting reporting needs.
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail with a passion for making data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data management with the ability to maintain and analyze large sets of environmental, social, and governance data for sustainability reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with voluntary sustainability assessments, such as EcoVadis, CDP, S&P Global, etc.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting and corporate Scope 1-3 emissions data.
- General understanding of key sustainability frameworks (GHG Protocol, GRI, SASB, ISSB, TCFD, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively to identify emerging issues, analyze potential impacts, and translate ideas and insights into viable recommendations for action.
- Proven experience adapting and learning quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and peers.
- Project management experience a plus.

US BASE PAY SCALE $71,700 - $92,000
The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
