How you will make an impact:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Engineer to join our Procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing new suppliers to support business needs and ensure a competitive, reliable, and sustainable supply base. This role bridges engineering and procurement by applying technical knowledge to supplier selection and management, ensuring supplier capabilities align with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers in alignment with company requirements for quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Production to define sourcing strategies and technical requirements.
• Prepare and place purchase orders using the ERP system
• Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to improve collaboration, performance, and innovation.

This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in related area of Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience in procurement, planning, or management of machining operations.
• Strong technical understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality requirements.
• Understands and can clearly communicate Critical Quality Attributes of sourced items to suppliers and to Quality Control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Works independently and collaborates effectively across functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in sourcing tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with supplier audits and performance evaluations is a plus.

US BASE PAY SCALE $75,100 - $95,600

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
