How you will make an impact:
The Associate Director of Marketing will provide operational leadership and people management for our marketing organization, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable execution. This role balances strategic direction and cross-functional partnership with day-to-day oversight of marketing systems, processes, analytics, and execution. You will build and mentor a high-performing team of marketing operations, demand-generation, and content specialists while partnering closely with product, sales, finance, and creative teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Leadership and Strategy
- Set operational priorities that align marketing activities to company goals and revenue targets.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing team establishing clear career paths and success criteria.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, goal setting, coaching, career development, and performance reviews to build and retain a high-performing marketing team.
- Define, document and communicate roles, responsibilities, and KPIs across the marketing organization to ensure accountability and alignment.
- Partner with senior leaders to convert business strategy into marketing plans and resource allocation.
- Lead supplier and agency selection and management; negotiate contracts and measure supplier performance.
- Maintain brand governance and ensure cross-channel messaging consistency in partnership with creative and brand teams.
- Prepare and present program performance, capacity plans, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Marketing Operations
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop, implement, and optimize marketing strategies to align business goals.
- Own the marketing technology stack and integrations (marketing automation, CRM, analytics); prioritize improvements and manage implementation roadmaps.
- Build and maintain reliable lead lifecycle processes and handoffs to sales; track lead-to-revenue flows.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting, that provide actionable insights into campaign performance and pipeline contribution.
- Design, document, and optimize repeatable processes for campaign planning, execution, and post-mortem reviews.
- Ensure data quality, governance, privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and secure handling of customer data across systems.
- Control operations budget, supplier spend, and procurement processes related to marketing systems and tools.
This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.
The skills and experience you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 6+ years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience owning marketing tech stacks (marketing automation and CRM) and operational processes end-to-end.
- Strong leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with digital marketing, SEO, PPC, and analytics and automation tools (Google Analytics/GA4, HubSpot, Click Dimensions, etc.).
- Excellent stakeholder management, verbal and written communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to drive marketing success.
- Proficiency in CRM, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, and marketing automation tools.
- Strong project and program management skills; comfortable managing cross-functional initiatives and timelines.
- Excellent people-manager skills: hiring, coaching, performance management, and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated experience supporting technical products in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, healthcare IT, pharmaceuticals, fintech, energy).

US BASE PAY SCALE $144,700 - $195,300
The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
